Wheel vibration (even after balancing)

Had my new tires/wheels (18x8) balanced 3 times and still having a vibration problem from 45 to 60 mph. After 60 a slight vibration then at 70 the vibration goes away.

It does not vibrates while braking and did not do it with the OEM wheels

This is getting me frustrated ...

Has anyone has experience this issue?

Check if the lug nuts are torqued to spec. Might be loose

The wheels are probably bent, I found out I had three stock wheels bent and I didn't even know until the dealer tech showed me by spinning the wheels on the vehicle, while in suspense on a lift.

If it's bent, you'll see it wobble as it spins.

They are 18x8 aftermarket wheels with new tires. I did not had that issue with the OEM even that 2 were slightly bent.

Maybe take it to a shop to measure if the wheel is bent

Find a shop with a Hunter Road Force balancer. This machine will assess the relative high and low mass points of the wheel versus tire. Sometimes, the solution is to partially rotate the tire on the wheel to offset small differences in uneven mass.

Be sure that the hub area & wheel face are CLEAN. Can't stress this enough, one grain of sand can prevent the wheel from sitting flush. Also, try a re-torque, sometimes it's the little things..

I've had that exact same problem you're describing, which later I found loose lug nuts on one wheel when I went to inspect it. I'd check it just to make sure. You can't be too safe

Are the wheels hubcentric or do they required a hub ring?

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

I'm curious, did you have them balanced and re-balanced at the same shop; if so, by the same tech?

...

Same shop, for sure different Tech. Is Discount Tire ...

But this time I going to ask for the Tech that had balance them the "best". Also going to request Road Force Balance

Yes, this first.....had wheels changed on my Mini and the idiot installer didn't tighten all the lugs. It really showed up at around 45 MPH too.

Next, I'd check wheels for damage. A bent wheel may not look bent, but will certainly cause a shimmy and shake when rolling. Of course you'd think this would appear if they spin balance each wheel before installing.

I had the problem with a gorgeous set of billet Fikse rims on my E36 M3; drove me crazy. I had road force balancing done with no improvement. Even though the wheels were hubcentric, the problem was solved when we decided to loosen and retorque all the lug bolts.. The trick is, for each wheel, loosen them up and one by one slightly tighten them in your normal cross hatch pattern, a tiny bit at a time on each bolt.. with each one, until theyre tightened down, grab the tire and try and 'Jimmy' it from side to side until youre sure youve got the center of each hole..... If precision rims like Fikse can cause these problems, then any after market wheel can.. After we performed this action, the vibration totally disappeared. On the fronts, you may have to have a friend sit in the car and step on the brake pedal in order find the center of each of the 5 lug holes.. Good luck!

When I was in a similar situation (having the tire store balance the wheels 3 times), I finally went to a different place he confirmed the wheels were off balance. The problem was the tire store, they never calibrated their roadforce machine and according to the guy I found, he used to train them but stopped because they were all idiots. Needless to say I won't be going to that tire store anymore.

I know another old thread but wondered if you ever figured out your problem paposalsa, mine does the same thing at the same speeds and is driving me nuts. I so wanted to love the car but this issue is keeping me from it.
