Ladies and gentlemen, I have returned. No spacers necessary. No rubbing. On stock suspension.

Awesome man, trust me when I say that it is well worth it. Had a beaming smile the entire drive home.

This is a couple of comparison shots of my current MPSS 245/35/18 compared to my new MPS4 S 265/30/19 mounted on BBS CI-R wheels. These new tires are "HUGE".

Well...there seems to be an issue with both of the rear wheels. There are some places where the paint didn't cover the wheel, kind of like a very thin spot on a few corners where I can see the aluminum coming through. The front wheels are fine. I will call tomorrow and find out what can be done. Tano22 do you have any bald places on your rear wheels?

I just received a call from TireRack. They are shipping out a new set of rear wheels and tires. Yeeha!
These photos show the flaws in the paint. |

I'm waiting for the shipment of my new rear replacement wheels and tires. The Dinan spings are in my garage and the OEM shorter bump stops are due next week. I can't wait to try out my new (again) car. I'm hoping for "M235i/M2 bridge" handling...we'll see.

Now I'm the one who is anxious for pics/feedback as to how the car rides and looks with the Dinan setup. Sucks that you got faulty rims but hopefully TR treated you well!

I'll definitely take some pics after the big "install." I read many posts about the M235 running Dinan springs, I wanted to get rid of a little float, have flatter cornering and quicker turn in without creating a really rough ride, hopefully Dinan springs are the solution. It is going to be a tight squeeze back there though. I think these wheels are the ideal solution to gain the most rubber and a moderate drop without other alterations. We'll see. I had my wheels and tires installed yesterday and then went for a little tour in the canyons, I was mainly just trying to break in the tires. I'm really happy with the result so far, the car feels really planted now. The tires stick like glue, I don't know if it is due to the springs or the alignment, but the front tires don't feel like they are plowing into the corners anymore. I'll have to spend more time with the new setup for more details.
There is a blog report of my install posted online: search "Mod Bargains blog" I couldn't get the link to work here. I took a few snapshots in the late afternoon light. Last edited by AlpsRider; 04-01-2017 at 05:39 AM.. |

The tires haven't rubbed at all. I think it rides better than stock, the ride is more controlled and cornering is more flat without being harsh. I would say that Sport+ provides a very controlled ride. I can drive around in comfort mode now without the car feeling spongy. I paid $550 for the springs including installation, which is a bargain for the amount of improvement. I need more time on the road to have more constructive feedback. |
