This is why I decided to buy mine here in Germany. I'm heading to the Carolina's and couldn't find one for less than the ones you found. I paid 34K.

I imagine it is hard to pre order and stock cars for every persons needs. Most dealerships stock 3 types of cars. Strippers, Loaders and the most popular ordered options cars. I found one with exactly what I wanted when I bought mine. Premium and tech packages and that is it. I imagine this falls in to most popular options category.

Pretty much what I did. I wanted this specific color and you couldn't get it in the Sport packages. I got the 6MT (almost impossible to find one on a lot in the states), Premium package, Cold Weather Package, and the Lighting package. I love the car and just couldn't find one there. I gave her to the shipping company here that does the ED shipping and it should be there when I get back to the Carolinas next month.

If you are in the military I imagine you are headed over to East North Carolina. That is where my car came from in Fayettville, but I actually purchased it in Florence, SC. They just did a swap or something or bought it from them outright.

I'm actually retiring from the military after 21+ years and going back to Columbia, SC. I'm having my car shipped to Charleston.

Congrats on the retirement! I just did one term, would have retired 8 years ago if I had done my 20. What ya going to do now? Never really been to Columbia other than passing by it going to Charleston and point south. I did pretty good on my 2er in Florence. It was 40,250 and I got it for just over 36,000. Pretty happy with it! It is 14 months old now and I only have 5000 on it. I work out of my house so it does not get allot of miles.

The silver/red M235i convertible at Hendricks is identical to the car I bought at BMW Asheville at the beginning of May...Love the car.
I still haven't seen any other on the road yet, but I guess there will be a twin out there soon. JP |

I'm going to take about a month off and then on the hunt for a job in the car sales business in columbia. I have a couple of offers already. Nice car by the way.

The reason there are a lot of 2's on the Hendrick lot is because they piss off so many customers that they don't want to buy from them
BMW of Columbia yielded a great experience |

I hear ya...they wanted $2000 more for the same car I bought in Florence. They sell plenty of them though. Those will be gone in the next 10 days. They dont last long. Never seem em once they are purchased though. Aliens must be buying em and taking em back to the mother ship!

Hiring those like crazy up here. I just went back to work after being laid off for 8 months. I almost got desperate enough to try car sales. It was desperate for me in that I am no salesman...I would have sucked at it. If you drive a BMW that should help you get a job selling em I would think.

I actually bought mine from Hendrick a few months back. I wasn't going to as I wanted to do the PDC, but they included that. However now they are running into issues getting it setup for me since I bought the car on the lot, and not an order. So now they are footing the bill for the BMW driving school 101, which is the same as PDC. Plus they are doing the hotel the night before Still haven't gotten final confirmation on it, but I have them on hook for it all in writing, so should get everything.
Overall I was very happy with the process and luckily they had the car I wanted. Granted it had a few M add-ons that I didn't need, but glad I have them now. They priced matched what I can get for an employee discount so didn't have to haggle too much to get it a little lower. I have only seen 1 blue 2series around here in Harrisburg area. Ken~ |

I have actually heard nothing but good things about Hendrick until this post. I personally had a bad experience dealing with BMW Columbia for almost a year. I'm pretty sure I will give them one more chance when my first oil change is due just to see if they have gotten any better over the last 4 years. If not then I will go up to Charlotte to Hendrick and make a day out of it.
