Thanks
I'm just using 225/40/18 all around on my staggered wheels. It's only a 1% difference and well within spec.

Thanks. Unless I can find an inexpensive used set, I may consider this option as well. I just prefer to invest in an aftermarket set of summer wheels.

Has anyone received and fitted the 17" Monte TITANO MT1 on their M235i yet?

My second option are the 17" BBS SR. Anyone fit these on their 235 yet?

I won't get my 2015 235 (rwd, manual, staggered) until Nov/Dec 2014 (week 45 production), just in time for the snow in Nova Scotia. I want to order winters soon to be ready. The wait is killing me.

I'll probably go with 205/50R17 winter tires, as some others have suggested (and dealer recommended). I'll lose a little in dry traction, but they should cut through the snow a little better than a wider tire. I think a reasonable compromise in the east/Atlantic coast.

Ok, I went with the consensus. which is one of the 2 i was leaning towards anyway. These will be easiest to clean and give the car a different look for the winter. Also a couple photos of clearance of calipers front and rear

these turned out to be a good choice. I thought them being matt finish it was going to be hard to clean but its only the look not the feel. They are smooth and cleaned up quickly. The only thing is that since they are 17in was a little difficult to reach in to clean the inside of the rim. But they are winter rims so not too big of an issue.

I have these:

2. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Price
Monte TITANO MT3 Sopra Matte Titanium

With Bridgestone Blizzaks. First set of winter tires I've ever owned so I can't really judge whether these tires are bad or it's just that all winter tires are bad, but I am not a fan. The "feel" of the driving experience is so much worse than when I had the performance summer michelin tires on.

BBS SR 17x7.5 Anthracite

For those that were interested, I ended up getting the BBS SR 17x7.5 in Anthracite from TR (with Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 XL in 205/50R-17). I pickup up my car last week, and I have a total of 400 kms driven, no snow yet. I had the wheels installed at the dealer before I took delivery, so I haven't driven it with the summer tires. It's going to be a long winter!

No fitment issues with the wheels or tires so far.

Here are some pics. There was one little imperfection (2nd pic) in the paint on one wheel, I suspect dust/contamination in the paint. Not enough to send them back. Also, there was a centering ring installed, I had never seen this in other wheels before.

I think they look nice, I've received a lot of complements. I think 18 inch wheels would have been nicer, but less practical for the winter roads I will be driving.

PS Put three coats of Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 Acrylic Sealant on the wheels before installing. I hope it helps keeping them clean.

Also went with BBS SRs 18 x 7.5 for winter. Fitted with Michelin Pilot Alpin 4s 225/40/18 square.

I got those as well, but bought Michelin Primacy Alpina A3'd on 225/45-17. Been running them for a few weeks and they definitely drive nicer than the old Blizzaks LM's I had on my 330. We haven't had much snow or ice yet, so haven't experienced them in heavy conditions yet.

I have to say those BBS SR's are like sex on the M235i. They are made for it...Winter or summer.

I vote other: BBS SR

Because I see mostly 17inch wheels here is my 18inch setup to even it out (those are Bremmer Kraft BR-10). I believe that better handling and OEM-like looks offset an added expense and extra fragility of 18inch wheels. At least if one lives in area where roads are properly maintained and mostly free of potholes. Another argument for 18inch wheels is M235i adaptive suspension which can smooth out ride on poor roads even with those larger wheels.

How have the MT1 Piana wheels held up? Can the factory BMW center caps be reused with these wheels?

Thanks!

You really want sexy - get your chrome grille surrounds painted anthracite to match. IND has the paint code it's a Benz color I got the details from BBS directly. Now that on BSM car is sexy as all hell.

There's also a seller on eBay Swedish I believe who sells very high quality BMW 56mm center caps if you want to run those instead of BBS. Like $20 if memory serves.
