geez these touchless washes are garbage

So usually every 6 months I take "updated" pics of my car for insurance, so decided to wash the car, very busy, so took it into a touchless (about $20 inc. tax) car came out looking ok'ish.

Started wiping the water off with a clean are towel, jeez, everything got smeared, I mean the wash dumped a whole lotta different colour chemicals and the jet washes, etc, but the dirt,was still there, I mean it "looked" clean, but the grime was still there.

So I had to resort to just a basic one bucket wash with a wash mitt and I used my Zymol bathe, done, toweled nothing, just water came off

What gives ?

I'll post up some pics in a bit.

This is NOT a detail, just a clean, and I didnt really do the insides, as it's mainly for insurance to say at this point in time, no major damage to the car

thats a very pretty car...I could never take a car like that into any kind of automated car wash.
