Convertible car wash

Hello all.
Last year, I purchased a 2021 M240i convertible with the moonlight black option (F23).
I know BMW doesn't recommend it, but does anyone have any experience/advice on using a car wash?

Here are the "rules" I go by when washing my cars"
- use the mildest products that do the job
Rational: I've seen folks use harsh products on their cars with the results being damaged paint, glass or chrome. Don't use dish washing liquid as your car isn't covered in grease! and NEVER use Simple Green as it can damage the paint!
- always use the 2 bucket method when washing the car
Rationale: dirt gets trapped in the wash mitt which results in micro scratches in the clear coat. I use a regular plastic bucket for the car wash and water mixture, and a 5 gallon contractor bucket of water to rinse the wash mitt after washing a small area of the car
- use a microfiber wash mitt
Rationale: it doesn't tap dirt particles as much as a sponge does
- wash small areas
Rationale: the wash mitt accumulates dirt particles that can scratch the clear coat.
- rinse after washing an area
Rationale: decreases the amount of time the soap is on the car and "eating" the wax (you do want to wax the paint!)
- start at the top and work your way down
Rationale: soap from the upper areas washes down on the dirtier lower areas, softening the dirt
- dry the car with microfiber towels
Rationale: less scratching

I hand wash mine but if you have a car wash that offers a NO WAX option then your soft top will like you better. But then you still will get the eventual paint damage from the brushes, not a problem if you like lots of swirls in your paint.

preference is touchless or jet you wont have any problems
