my 2016 metallic black sapphire M235i
- 19" replica 437M M2-style wheels with Michelin PS4's, square set-up
- Dinan springs and stops - M Performance exhaust and CF tips - black grills, color match mirror caps and front reflectors - M Performance front spoiler lip, side skirt blades and Autoplus rear diffuser - Satin black carbon fiber wrapped interior accents - Stage 1 Dinan Performance Tuner Hmmmmm... Now that I have it looking just the way I like it, I may need to make it go a little faster too. Last edited by DSTRAKD; 06-08-2017 at 09:27 AM.. |

I think the 3M DI-Noc matt carbon fiber is the best trim going. Looks great.
I had Fineline and brushed al in mine before I wrapped and I'm not going back. |

Thanks everyone for the kind words... I love this car.
The tint is 35% on the sides, 20% on the rear and sun roof panel. I also added a 2" strip of 20% along the top edge of the front windshield (something I normally don't like to do because I don't care for the look). The car didn't come with any top edge tint from the factory...something I find a little strange. The sun's a killer without a little tint along that top edge if you have to drive to or from work facing the sun. Two of the M235's few shortcomings... no tint along the top of the windshield and sun visors that don't quite reach the spot you're trying to shield. |

I'm running 225/35R19 all the way around with 8-1/2" wide rims, square set-up. I tried the 255/30's on the back with 9-1/2" rim to match, but the wheel and tire poked about 1/4" or so (maybe a little less) beyond the wheel well and it drove me nuts. Really wasn't that noticeable, and i received lots of compliments, but i really just don't like it when the wheels extend beyond the wheel wells... That, and I was concerned that I might have an issue when lowering it with the Dinan springs. So I converted to the more conservative square set-up which is pretty much flush with wheel wells all the way around. (ET 35mm + shaving an additional 4mm off inside of each wheel for a total offset of ET 39mm).

I had a body shop install them when I had the rear diffuser painted and installed. The rear diffuser is 2-tone...MBS paint match and flat black. I asked that the side skirts be MBS and the fronts spoiler lip be 2 tone...but the body shop got confused and the car came out with both front spoiler and side skirts in matte black. I was upset for 1 minute, then realized I looked great the way it was, so matte black front lip and side skirts it is. Bumps up the sportiness a little I think leaving them matte black.

How do you like the ride with the Dinan springs and stops and the 19" wheels? Did something similar on my 335is (plus much more) and the handling was incredible but have heard less good results on the m235, which I now have too?
Car looks fantastic BTW. |

I think it's really nice. Still very comfortable for daily commuting. My original thought was to do the full set up with sway bar upgrades and everything, but truthfully, it's enough with just the springs. I'm not tracking it or driving that aggressively. Just having some fun here and there and enjoying my work commute. Love it.

wow, 225's on the back? I know what you mean about the poke but 265 PSS's and the 9.5" wheels don't look that bad imo but I wish this car had come with more aggressive fenders. Even the pathetic base model turbo new Lexus IS looks like it has a wider body than the 2er
Not worried that those skinny tires will slip if you add power? If I had an N55 I'd be voiding the warranty in a heartbeat with the BM3 |

yeah, I know... But what can you do. It would be great to have a little more tire on the back, but I just don't like pushing it beyond the wheel well. That being said, I am getting an additional inch of tread contact on these new tires compared to the original 225/40R18's that came with it...So, I'll take it

Very nice, I wish I could own a black one like yours, but I have enough work keeping my white one clean
