BMW M240i AWE Exhaust Sound Clips

Hey guys,

I realized as I was shopping around for exhaust options, there was very limited resources to highlight the sound of different exhausts for our vehicles online. I just wanted to share some brief clips of the AWE Exhaust Touring Exhaust w/ Performance Midpipes. These videos are quite lousy Iphone videos, but it gives you an idea of what the exhaust sounds like. The car currently has a BMS Intake and JB+ installed as well, I will upload better videos shortly both inside and outside the vehicle as well.

Wooooow! That sounds incredible! Exactly what I want - a deep loud sound.
So it's a AWE muffler and a, basicaly, resonator delete? Or downpipe delete as well?

Thanks! Very quick videos shot on an Iphone, plan on many more higher quality/edited films when time allows for it.

It really does wake up the car, the sound is quite aggressive, more so outside the vehicle. With the windows closed, the sound is very tolerable, the best part being absolutely no drone! The videos don't highlight this, but on overrun and on quick up shifts, the bangs are quite intoxicating.

This is the AWE Touring Exhaust (Axelback Muffler) + AWE Performance Midpipes(Resonator Delete) No DP delete, I wonder how it would sound with a race cat, I feel going Catless would be too loud?

You made want to buy the AWE muffler ASAP, haha.
I already have a resonator delete but stock muffler doesn't sound any good.

Yeah going catless would be too much. 200-cell DP could sound nice, hopefully not like a diesel truck :-/.

Do you mind asking how much you payed for thhe muffler?

That's great to hear! My issues was finding sound clips that justified purchasing the exhaust, I just pulled the trigger and hoped for the best. If I got 200 cell catted, I'll be sure to share some clips. I'm happy with the performance and sound for now, it's quite refined at this point.

The Muffler w/90mm Chrome Tips and Midpipes came in around $1500 with black Friday Promotions. Usually would be closer to $1650. The muffler itself is about $1000-$1200 depending on which Exhaust tip options you select. Quite comparable in price to Remus and Dinan.

Awesome! Are you considering doing any downpipe work? Not sure how much louder the car would be with a catted or catless DP? It maybe a bit too aggressive(IMO) like this video:

I think it's honestly perfect the way it is. The cold start, as i'm sure you've discovered is fucking ridiculous LOL. After that it really has a nice bipolar profile of being deep and smooth off throttle / being an animal on the throttle. And oh, let's not forget the overrun bangs, every tunnel is a delight nowadays
