Do a search on Internet for F30 Coding cheat sheet. This has worked on everything I have coded thus far. Search the Internet and you will find it.

Ouuh, that's exciting.
Could you produce a package of all of the needed files and share on dropbox (or similar) so others can get into it quickly without having to scorch the earth looking for them? I'd imagine there's some additional software you'll need to purchase - not asking for piracy here.

I don't think the water/oil temp is possible since there is no module with those settings/variables.

I haven't found the oil/water temp setting for BC yet, but I haven't given up. Maybe someone who has been doing this for a while might have an answer.
I did manage to do some more coding changes today, DVD playing while in Drive, auto unfold mirrors at 14 mph, phone ringtone thru iDrive, ///M Display on center iDrive screen on vehicle startup, no more disclaimers for iDrive and camera, and programmed the mirrors fold/unfold from fob (that's a while for this to work from what I read). Here is a pic from when I did the BC screen logo startup change from M235i to "M Performance". The M235i logo does stay on the right side after initial startup checks are done.

You been able to code the start up screen animation to the M logo and does it come up at every time you start up the car ?
I got mine coded but doesn't come up every time, it skips and goes straight to the last screen the car was left on...

Some of them on the F10 M5 have been able to do that.

Both the BC screen and iDrive screen will keep in memory for x minutes. You won't get the startup screen if you turn the car off and back up on right away. I will get a picture of the iDrive startup screen tonight and post here.

Yes the car has to either power down or sleep and only then will the Idrive logo appear on the start up I am aware of that. I tried starting up my car after i parked it @ night and in the morning I was not able to see the Logo again so was wondering if you had any different values that went in there or it was just with my car. I have pretty much the same coding setup that you have.

I sent you a PM on the value to code. It is this one to change:

Startup logo HU_NBT 3001 startup_emblem Change the startup animation on idrive (default is BMW connected drive) selections: Variant 1 = M logo || Variant 7 = White BMW logo || Varian 8 = Brown bmw logo (same as hu_CIC) || Variant 9 = Merry Xmas

Here is what the screen looks like on startup (I stole this from the other site as I was too lazy to shoot my own video):

With some tips and advices of Delnari, I managed to do my first coding:
- activate tire pressure
- disable amber lights during the night

Can't wait to do more.

I see your tire temps are in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. Was this intentional on your part?

Thanks man it started to work all of a sudden I guess it's the NBT start-up time which is fast that's skipping the animation.

After my coding post of the wheel PSI/Temps I went and checked my tire pressures. The fronts were too high out of the dealership (40 and 41.7 PSI). Put them back down to 34 PSI instead of the 32 recommended and car has smoother turned in now with nice grip. Seems every single new car I purchase has really high tire pressures out of the dealership, no matter what the brand.

Did a little more coding today, turned the front amber running lights off, increased the ambient lighting, and door open/close light timer, and turn on mirror ground lights when in reverse. Think I'm pretty much done with all my coding at this point. If something new and cool is announced I will look and see.

Did you find a setting for adjusting the start up time? I can only get the animation to display if I shut down the navigation system (hold radio power knob for 30 seconds)

Nothing I found about the startup time .... It's just that the system boots up faster than the CIC

Hi ... sorry to thread jack ... but I have been receiving a lot of requests from people for ENET Cables, So I am now personally building ENET Cables for coders, and selling via eBay for $20 shipped within the US (International shipping is extra).

*****************

I will also direct you on where to obtain the necessary software @ no charge via e-mail or PM.

I may have to look into this if I can switch the interior amber lights to white on the dash.

The actual coding procedure is an easy 3. Installing the software on your computer is a slight pain unless you get instructions you can follow and rate it a 6. Once you have installed it you will have no problems making coding changes.
