Everything worked fine on my laptop installation, but now on new Surface its asking me for activation code. Anyone know why? I am in USA btw

Haven't connected to car yet, need to buy Ethernet cable

edit: works fine now

I went there to and downloaded the files. I opened up the instructions... done by Shawn and the 1st thing it says to do is to unrar the file nd that it would create 2 folders..

The files I downloaded are NOT rar files, and I don't want to mess around with trying to make sure everything is in the right place.

Can you please give instructions based on the files from bimmerfest?

I wrote everything in the OP. Ignore the comment about two folders. There are separate links for required files and you can still follow PDF.

If you want E-sys Documents, see section 4.

The PSdZData lite zipped file has 2 versions...
PSdZData_v3.61.0.500_lite.rar
PSdZData_v3.61.1.001_lite.rar

Which one will I need?

Newest is always best; I just had not deleted the older version (now gone). The difference is the addition of the two files:

cafd_000029b7.caf.000_016_004: Diesel Engine update (Not F02x/F03x/F08x)
cafd_00002081.caf.003_101_008: iCAM2 update (FP does include F030)

You just need Psdzdata >= vehicle I-Step.

There's no Abort button as the instructions say.. can I just "X", close it out?

I just hit Launch now... then an abort button came up and disappeared before I could hit it..

THen E-SYS launched.. so I went to the next step.. It says to go to the program tab under options -> setting, but there's none..
