Charge Pipe Upgrades N55

I'm looking for some upgraded charge pipe options for my M235i, considering between the few popular UK brands Forge, Masata and MTC? Not sure if there's anyone from the UK here that could share some thoughts?

Car is just stock now but I'm getting a BM3 tune soon so figured its best to get an upgraded CP along with that. More plans to come too, probably an intercooler

I have the VRSF on mine, fitment is great and has been holding up fine for the past few years.

I dont think we have the same models, but since I stumbled upon this thread I'll share my thoughts haha!

I was also deciding on CPs a few weeks back, finally got it direct off the Masata website. They offer free delivery, and it arrived next day after I made payment. Service was also excellent, so I would highly recommend.

I have also heard good things about Forge through my research, so that's another potential option. Not too sure about MTC, never heard of it tbh!

Thank you! Have you got the chance to fit them yet? How's the fitment of the Chargepipe and the quality overall?

Yeah from what I've heard around the Forge and Masata ones are most popular in the UK.

I've got the Forge ones on mine, fitment is great.

Some of my friends went with the Masata charge pipe and no problems so far. I think they got it from ML Performance and even had the Masata N55 intercooler installed.

Yeah fitment is great and the quality is pretty solid I'd say it's better than the VRSF ones I previously had when I was in the states.

Cool, do you possibly have fitted photos? Where did you get it from?

Saw some people saying they had fitment issues with the VRSF ones lol

Thanks! Just had a look, and the FTP ones including shipping isn't too bad, but was wondering if it's a good charge pipe? Were there any complains about fitment issues for these?

Also, how many days does it take for shipping to the UK?

I've acquired all my upgraded tuning parts from Extreme Power House. CP, FMIC, DP and bm3. All came reasonably quickly despite the nightmare shipping scenario surrounding the Covid Pandemic. I'm in Logistics so I know.... And for reference I can usually count on a 2 day delivery to the UK with FedEx International Priority. Can't speak for the Economy level as my company gets a sweet deal on the Priority service. And as long as the CP isn't plastic you should be good to go. I've got the VRSF one for the N55 and it fits fine.

FTP charge pipes are high quality

shipping time depends on the service you choose, but even the cheapest one is quick (5-10 days)

I hope it was a race model, because the standard CTS intercooler is garbage.

I've installed 2 FTP CPs and they've been great! Easy to install and comes with all new seals.

Match them Up

I think it is a good idea to match your Charge Pipe Brand to the same as your intercooler Brand --- ensures good fitment.

Just a thought.

that's always the safe way to go or you can check with your vendor/forum members for tested combinations
