M Performance Wheel...can it work?

Hey all!

Just picked up this M235 used. Looks like it had some mods done prior to trading it in.

Wondering if there is any make the shift lights or any other uses with the wheel actually function?
It light up when I start the car but that seems to be about it.

Press both buttons at the same time I think. That opens up some options. I had this wheel on my M235.

It's kind of complicated to interact with, but still pretty neat.
