2021 M240i Floor Mats
I'm looking for all weather floor mats for my 2021 M240i. Unfortunately, neither the BMWUSA site nor WeatherTech have the 2021 year model as a selectable option to shop for.
Can anybody verify if the 2020 M240i FloorLiner from WeatherTech fit the 2021 model, along with the Cargo/Trunk Liner and SunShade? I also reached out to WeatherTech's customer service but they were not able to confirm nor deny whether they would fit. I would assume they would be compatible, but I would like confirmation before I pull the trigger. The specific products are linked below: https://www.weathertech.com/bmw/2020...r-wheel-drive/ https://www.weathertech.com/bmw/2020...y-style/coupe/ https://www.weathertech.com/bmw/2020/m240i/sunshade/ |

I much more prefer the flexible rubber all weather mats from BMW in my M235 and Audi in my wife's Q5 compared to the WeatherTech floor liners have in our GMC truck. They are much easier to take in and out to clean and they look new when they are cleaned, as opposed to the WeatherTech mats which never completely come clean. I think WeatherTech products are a bit over hyped and over priced - very successful marketing on their part. That's just me, as they say YMMV.

The pedal layout hasn't changed, AFAIK
So any F22 mat should work.
I run WeatherTech floor liners November-March, and they do a good job. The plastic does get to kind-of a dull gray, never seems quite 100% clean no matter what you do, and they never look super black, but the goal is to keep muck away from the carpet, and that they do. The WT trunk liner I run year round, just in case something springs a leak during a grocery haul. I could see that the thin OE mats were going to wear fairly fast under my right heel. I thought about the M rubber mats with the low sides for summer use, as they likely fit very well around the base of the gas pedal. I opted to go for a little more style instead of pure utility, and went with a pair of CocoMats. Better looking and pretty tough, mine are black with blue pips, the pips to complement the EB paint. CocoMats will send you a paper template before ordering so you can test fit the paper "mat" to your car to see how it will lay in there. |

It's hard to beat the look of Coco mats. I've thought about them too.

I've had Weathertechs before, depending on where you live, Winter Salts tends to oxidize them therefore making them harder to clean.
I've since purchase tuxmats (they have a custom size for F22/23). They can also hold a gallon of water and are much easier to clean. |

More seriously, yes, the coconut fibers are durable and grippy, but not the softest "hand" for sure. Cocomats does have a bunch of other material, e.g., sisal, sea grass, some carpet names I don't remember. Same quality and rubber backing. Check their website. The heel pad is big enough for my right heel, my left I keep on the dead pedal when it's not running the clutch. |

BMW sells floor liners now for the M240i. I was surprised when the parts guy at my dealer told me that as it is not listed as an accessory on bmw.ca.
Installed them yesterday and they are quite nice. I live where there is lots of snow and slush so I need the practicality of the liners. Last edited by rrman; 09-04-2021 at 03:43 PM.. Reason: fix image |

I have the rubber BMW mats and I think they are slippery. I’ve never been a huge fan of rubber mats. I have cocomats in all of my cars and love them. They are durable and hold up to all weather conditions quite well. And they looks great too.

I just want to put in another good word for CocoMats. After seeing them in this thread, I ordered a set with the little blue dots, perfect fit for my estoril blue exterior.
These folks are good! |

The fit is close, but not exact. The ones direct from weathertech (with their logo on them), chosen specifically for our cars, are a bit different in size, especially since the foot area is somewhat longer, due to it being a coupe. The sides go up higher too. I no longer have the F30 ones (sold them on facebook marketplace) but the f22 ones FROM weathertech, are indeed a closer fit, and worth getting the correct ones. |
