Hey all, just picked up a 2016 m235i and loving it so far. It’s my first BMW in general. It came with a front plate bracket installed already, but I bought a tow hook plate holder to try and decide where I want the front plate. I came from a WRX with one of these that I traded in for this car. I also have an ///M plate that my sister got me. I want opinions on what looks better, and I’m posting this in multiple places.

My options for the front plate are:

1) in the centered bracket that came with the car
2) tow hook off to the side with ///M plate in bracket. I put them both on to see and thought it looked a little too busy. Not sure how I feel about having M on a car that isn’t really a full M car
3) take bracket off completely, patch the holes in the bumper, and just use the tow hook. I do have front parking sensors though which are triggered by this which gets super annoying to listen to

Thoughts?

It's not uncommon for an off-center plate to cause problems with PDC.
You can get bumper plugs from https://bumperplugs.com/

I vote centered unless you can fully remove bumper center stall for showing car...which, I don't consider a priority if you have stock facia. If it was some sort of build or something maybe.

Also, I don't have pdc on my 2er, if I did like you, I wouldn't consider this at all. That annoying beep gong makes my brain twitch.

Bumper plugs...only if there's a park in rear sign...bwahahaha....

A 2 year old thread reopened LOL
Does OP still have the car and what did they end up doing.

I like the Tow-hook style I have that on mine. Makes my car look sic and other drivers think I am cool and funny enough if I see a car with same plate I give them a flash and a hearty wave.

Funny they just look or ignore that ?

any way plate to the side if your region allows it by law, or follow your local law, my advise is not responsible

Oh wait I just re-read...

you HAVE to get rid of the pate (keep it in case)
you can fit 4 plugs, mine is black so I found 4 trim plugs from Canadian tyre for about 5 bucks inc tax and they just went in, only slightly noticeable

I think theres a company who do body coloured plugs but I think there pretty expensive

If you can get some black ones and just paint them
