I have done some highway stints locking the car in 8th. Good results very low gas usage, perhaps lower than Eco pro drive. But the car really has no go which isn't incredibly safe IMO. |

My last two fillups, using manual calculations, were 22.4 mpg and 24.3 mpg. It's mainly 80/20 highway/city, so it's a little disappointing. I think the weather has a large part to due with the lower numbers, as my AC is blasting most of the time.

I finally went on a long trip. 389 miles worth. Her is a screen shot from Acar app. I use it to keep track of my car expenses and maintenance. It shows 376 miles driven and I had 10 miles left according to the cars computer.
I drove the whole trip in eco pro mode. It was 90% highway mileage calculation 376 miles / 12.678 gallons = 29.65 mpg manual transmission ignore the "Fuel Efficiency" as that is what I am getting as a whole of driving, now at 2400 miles 80% rural and 20% highway. I found out a few things on this drive. If I needed to pass someone not getting out of the left lane, all I had to do was floor the gas and it was like I was in sport mode. Car jumped into action and took off. this was a nice surprise as I was worried I would have needed to switch to sport mode to make evasive maneuvers if needed. I also noticed doing 75 or less eco pro seemed to gain extra mileage and showed blue. Over 75 it showed mostly gray and wouldn't gain extra mileage. This is about as good as my old 135i. 25 more horse power and I still get the same mpg. Not bad.

Id have to add to this thread by saying the mileage in the M235i really sucks.
Even highway miles in Eco I am only getting 28-29MPG. Combined I'm getting 20MPG. Haven't driven city only so not sure how low that will be. Oh well I still think my car is amazing and I didn't buy it for good gas mileage.

I reset the trip and averaged 36mpg driving at 70mph in Eco-pro, 160 mile journey.
After some fun with the right foot its down to 28mpg. 36mpg is achievable! You just dont want to |

yea if you stay under 75 you get way better mpg. once over 75 its not as good. I did achieve 29 mpg being over 75 when i could use cruise control on an open highway.

I usually get great mileage on long highway journeys until I hit a section of the PA turnpike that's 3 lanes wide and has some ever so sweet and smooth curves though the Appalachians then I burn through all that saved fuel in about 5-10 minutes

27.6 combined as of right now. On my latest fuel up it averaged 29.2 that's mostly highway commute with some sport mode on the drive home everyday and Sport on the weekends. I'll take that.

On the highway, in Comfort I can get 40+. In Sport, around 30. Can barely break 25 in either mode in city driving. This is a 228i with 8AT and the numbers are from the onboard computer.

I haven't hit my first 1000 miles yet, so engine still a bit green. No long highway trips yet either, but around town, a mix of city streets and a bit of urban interstate running through, I am seeing about 29 on the trip computer. This is a 228i with Michelin PSS and 6MT, about 50% of the time in Sport and 50% in comfort (when wife joins me for the ride!).

Ive had my car (M235i) now just over two months and am getting 13-14.5mpg average. This is all city driving here in Los Angeles. 90% Comfort/10% Sport. All Eco systems engaged (auto start stop, HVAC, etc) when in Comfort mode.
As mentioned earlier in this thread I find this extremely disappointing. I really need to take the car into the dealer to find out why Im getting 1/3rd less mileage then the EPA estimates. I just can't image what could be wrong considering it runs like a top. I did note that the 2015 M235i sticker now says 20 city / 30 highway EPA estimates VS. the 2014 one which stated 22 city / 32 highway. I find this odd. |

Still my 128i (6MT) is listed at 18/28 and I average 27.5 overall with my best tank getting 34mpg and the cruise control set at 80mph.
