M235i xdrive forged 17" wheel recommendation
I've scoured the forums but I've not been able to confirm if anyone has successfully fitted at 17 x 8 +35 TSW Nurburgring or Beyern Spartan in the same size. I would like the extra strength of flow-forming or forging but I also want the extra padding a -1 sizing will give. The roads up here in Alaska can be brutal on wheels. All four stock wheels were bent and one tire destroyed by unexpected and unseen potcraters two days after pulling the car off of the lot!

Check with Apex. I know they have a 17×8 in +40 that will fit over your brakes. flow formed.

I wanted 17 TSW Nurburgring also, but Jason from getyourwheels.com had them test fitted for me and said they didn't fit. I ended up with 18's (although I put the stocker 18's back on for winter).
17" Kosei's fit, are lightweight and strong. As SteveInfante said, Apex is another good choice. |

Just talked to the Apex rep on here and he recommends none in the 17" size without modifications.

What modifications? I'm curious because technically they should fit. Maybe they haven't tried and they don't want to endorse something they haven't tried just yet. They pretty much gave me the same answer when I asked. Everything I have read in here tells me that the fitment at those specs should be spot on for a squared set-up.

I know this was an old post but I just wanted to give a follow up. Apex said their 17" wouldn't clear the strut internally. In the end, I couldn't find anything satisfactory so I went with the BBS SR since it was confirmed fitment. Installed Nokian Hakkapellita 8 in 225/45/17 RFT and couldn't be happier with the snow/ice performance. We tend to run on rain soaked ice fairly regularly here in southcentral Alaska so the studs really make a difference.
