Would it be possible to see somewhat the same gains if running Water Meth instead of Ethanol? I only ask because i do not have access to Ethanol fuel at the pumps here in Canada.
Is Water Meth worth it on a stock turbo? or should you just wait till you run stage 2 turbo? |

water and meth = awesome
I dont currently use water/meth injection on my M235i but i will. Only owned the car 2 months. JB4 map 5 and AFE intake so far. I plan to use the JB4 to control a progressive meth kit on my BMW.
I have used it on two Mitsubishies and my Syclone. I installled old school Aquamist stage one kits, there are much better systems out now. It really is a great mod. It allowed my stock block/head/cam/manifolds, 20 year old motor Syclone to run 11.8x. I have a bigger methenol system waiting to be installed. My Eclipse Spyder ran 13.1, also just bolt-ons to the motor. I did convert the car to AWD though. My Eclipse GSX ran 12.9 I still have the Syclone and the Spyder. |

2 friends of mine had BMS Meth kit and horrible headaches they went thru.
Word of advice; CoolingMist stuff (what BMS uses) is really cheap and bad quality except the nozzles. A few experts have ran it years ago Always leaked, solenoid would go bad on a regular basis, flow sensor failing, just a nightmare kit. Had a friend going thru clogging issues and the jb4 would say everything is ok. Your mileage may vary, but I would not bother with something that will only with 1 system (piggy). I would and am going AEM kit standalone controller. The question is, whether you're going to run 50/50 (water/meth) or higher than 50% meth mix? -Aquamist HFS-4 the most expensive, longer to install, configure too but they're top of line. - AEM has been doing superb quality the past recent years, lots of M owners use their kit because of added/better failsafes than the BMS kit. (Much cheaper than Aquamist) - Snow Performance (Hit or miss) their BoostJuice (50/50) gallons are very popular, their VC-50 controller is very good as well. - CoolingMist (Hit or miss) - BMS (i personally wouldnt even touch it even if it was free) - Devils own The things to keep in mind is, nylon hose do not like more than 50% meth (over time) and can leak or whatever. So if you intend to run more than 50% meth mixture then get better hose line so it doesn't leak. DKM3Power Cheers
