Pulled the trigger on a set of H&R lowering springs. I have a 228i with M sport package and haven't seen anyone test fit the M235i springs on their 228i so I'm going to be trying them out tonight after work. I'll report back tomorrow morning. Crossing my fingers that they'll work for me.

I've been emailing with H&R about them, actually. I asked specifically about the M235i fitting the 228i, but they couldn't say either way yet. The part numbers for 320i, 328i, 335i are all the same, so I figure M235i would fit 228i as well.

When I was emailing with them a couple weeks ago, they said they had a 228i in the shop currently and should be ready with product in a couple weeks. So we should have a definite answer any day now I hope.

Just spoke with one of my techs at the dealership and he'll be doing the install tomorrow morning. I'll start a new thread with pics so this one doesn't get cluttered up.

This was mine right after the springs were installed. The M235i lowering springs do fit the 228i.

Hey OP, nice drop!

By the way, how dark are your tints? 35% all around?

Looks great but am curious how the adaptive suspension will be affected with the dampers lower in their stroke. There has to be a calibration issue with changing the ride height. Maybe I will throw this question out for the tech guys.......

I have H&R springs on my adaptive damped m135i in UK.

In stock form, with much softer springs than H&R, adaptive dampers have to work in wide range compression states depending on pay load (fuel, passengers and luggage). My experience is that damping response genuinely adapts and copes v well with lower, stiffer springs. Maybe because the range of compression states may be less than stock.

This time, I bring you (possibly) the first set of H&R Sport Springs installed on the M235i in the states! It's been a long wait since I ordered them, but the drop is just perfect IMO. Not too aggressive, but just enough to look lowered.

The experts at European Auto Source didn't seem to have any issues installing the springs, so it looks to be a straightforward install (having the right tools and knowledgeable people helps). I was in and out in a couple hours.

I didn't notice any difference with the ride quality on the drive home (which consists of smooth to very rough/bumpy surfaces at low and highway speeds), so that's a plus!

But enough words, I'll let the photos do the talking!

Once again, I'd like to thank the guys at eAs for a job well done and their great customer service! If you guys are looking for springs for your M235i, hit them up!
Ever end up installing the new wheels?
