The 2 series looks promising from exterior, however, it is my impression or it is really cheap inside?
I mean, I am looking at the door panel and at the dash, man, I really hope it will not be one cheap plastic in there, or as much as I love the exterior, if the interior is cheap I will just not be interested anymore...

I'm not sure how I missed it, but for some reason I thought it had the same 4 gauge cluster as the F30. Now I see that there are only three gauges (no coolant temp gauge, ugh) and the fuel gauge is bundled in with the other gauges for a two gauge cluster look…hello E90 repeat.

MUCH prefer 4 standalone gauges.

No way, I prefer less clutter.

For some reason, all of those gauges in the 3 series+ makes it look like a luxury car for older people

I hope it isn't the same cheap plastic my wife has in her X1. The window sill area looks like hard plastic.

I love that it keeps the gauges from E90/92. Looks sporty to me. Not a fan of the new 3 series gauges.

I don't consider analog gauges for vital functions to be clutter? if anything combining the fuel gauge with the tach or speedo looks cluttered, and replacing the coolant temp gauge with what surely must just be an idiot light is a disappointment.

I wish cars still came with full instrumentation, with like 6 gauges like they used to: tach, speedo, coolant, oil pressure, volt meter, and fuel.

First order of business if anyone gets this car is put bigger exhaust tips on. They're so tiny hahah it looks so off.

did anyone notice that the rear seats have their own air conditioning now?
My 128i does not have aircon for the rear seat

Hmmm just noticed the door speaker and its funky shape.

Yeah like other's I hope the interior quality materials is good. The photos seem to convey hard cheap plastics to me. Hope I'm wrong.

I definitely noticed, our X1 only has the vents under the seats. You said 0-60 same as E90 M3 did you mean E46 because the E46 was 4.8 and the E92 M3 was anywhere from 4.3 to 4.6 according to most car magazines. I see they changed the manual time to 4.9 from 5.0 but raised the 228 time to 5.5 from 5.4.

well the guy in the interview said same 0-60 as M3.

I would believe it. I have seen videos of stock 135i vs M3 and they were neck and neck. With launch control and the quick 8 speed, i wouldn't be surprised if it was faster!

Ouch, the interior looks even worse than I was expecting. Everything appears to be hard plastic, possibly even the upper dash. The only soft touch materials appear to be the upper doors.

So adaptive suspension comes standard on the M235i, but you can still get the M-Performance suspension as a port add-on item? Confused.

Either way, car looks hot! I am trying to justify to myself how to go from F30 to F22... how can I make it work with two small kids. Ha!

That's how my E82 is now, so I wouldn't be surprised

Interior is as cheap as the E82 1-Series'... bottom dash, lower door panels and center console are hard plastic.

That's what $30-$44,000 will get you nowadays, I guess.

I guess if we could only have one - sportiness or luxury in the 2series, the target is sportiness from the 2002 comparisons. Still, a decent amount of luxury is a must for a BMW branded car.
