Is your 2-Series your only car?

Question: Is your 2-Series the only car in your household? If not, is it your daily driver?

The 2 series is my daily, however, for long road trips, snow days and beach days, it’s the E34 Touring with LSD 5 spd.

I also have 2007 F150 4x4, 2012 Jeep Wrangler, and a Ford 5000 farm tracor. I honestly get more use out of the tractor than anything! Jeep is fun in spring and fall with the hard top off, it's pretty much the daily go to. F150 comes in handy when the weather is nasty or when I have to go downtown.. I don't mind it being subjected to abuse. The M240 is purely for fun and relaxation.

My 2 is my toy. The "family car" is a 330i GT and my wife has a MiniCooper Countryman S (aka...X1 in drag).

The M240i has been my DD and our primary household vehicle for almost 3 years now. But in the last few months, my fiancee has gotten a Mini Cooper S and I've picked up a 2007 X3. The X3 is mostly sits on the side and is used for roadtrips and Home Depot runs, but it's really really nice to have the 3rd beater SUV when you need it.

My daily driver is the M240xi cabriolet. It is the most complete package on the market; I am yet to find something that marries practicality, comfort, luxury, fun, and performance in such a neat little relatively inexpensive package. Truly the best bang for the buck you can get in the market. I can certainly see the M240xi to be the only car for a couple and or single folks.

The family car is a Range Rover HSE with a big ass V8. That's a fun car! Supposed to be my wife's daily driver... but noooo, she drives the M240xi when the kids aren't coming along.

Thanks! I'm a single guy...but I also "need" a combo bicycle hauler, camping vehicle and a desert blaster for those roads less traveled.

I split time between the F23 and occasionally the F31, if we are going anywhere prone to damage (e.g. city parking or valet) we always take GF F30. Put $100 down to reserve a 2-door Bronco, figure adding that to the stable I'll be covered for pretty much anything. Will replace GF car someday, maybe a 4 GC...

230i is my DD, and it is not the only car in the household ( see signature ). I do put more miles on it than the other five combined

This made me laugh At least you have justifications for your cars. We have one other car which serves absolutely no purpose but a Tesla branded fashion statement haha. On the market now since we only touch it to keep it "alive".

Anyway man, seems like you have all bases covered. If I were you, my problem would be space didn't you say you had a Miata as well?

The 228 is my one and only car. Haven't had issues thus far. Having a hatchback was a bit easier to load things into though.

Thanks! I'm just curious what people actually drive as the 2-series is not the pinnacle of practicality. Most people seem to have access to another vehicle in the household, anyway.

Funny, that on Tacoma forums...many owners also have a daily driver car in lieu of a truck.

I'm still wondering if a CPO Porsche Macan may be the perfect vehicle.
Ed , since you mentioned a Macan, I wouldn't recommend going to an SUV from a sport coupe. I do that daily and NOTHING about the RR with its 520hp engine compares to the M240i. Just rest drove an X3M as a loaner and couldn't wait to get back to the 2er

Completely different worlds.
