Brakes coding
I recently installed m235i calipers on my 230i.
I read a lot about coding. Some says yes for coding others no. Question is. I need to recode Or just need to activate something or what I need to do. ?? Mine has m sport package. BTW the car stops great. But I'm learning about coding. With BimmerCode first.

Hey Juny, unless I'm missing something here, S2NHA is just a factory option,
Brake calipers are a mechanical "thing", there of course brake wear sensors which are electrical. The whole point of coding (or programming) is to activate a feature usually electrical/electronic or has an electronic component or module, to effect a change. I.e. turns on, off or varies. Brakes work or don't. I've seen a lot of threads on people who upgrade there brakes and never seen one where they needed to code there calipers to work or work "correctly" If you have a link (you say some say yes) do let me have it so I can look at it. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=858607 |

The process of upgrading from the blue M Sport 340mm front / 345 mm rear brakes to the Orange/Yellow/Red M Performance 370mm front / 345 mm rear brakes includes a coding step.

That's all well beyond my pay grade, though; I just saw in the instructions that coding would be performed as part of the installation.

Note that this took place while installing a BMW M Performance Brake Kit. So, from beginning to end, this was all BMW parts and service.
