228i xDrive convertible here. I would totally be down. There should be more than two handfuls of us here.

Just picked this up two days ago on Thursday.
My other car is the 2.5 Golf 2012, this M235i is so much better, but cant really compare them. I have the blue too. Are you using snow tires, if so which ones. I'm considering either putting snow tires on the stock rims or getting 17" rims and snow tires, what's the better choice. Thanks. |

Wasn't expecting to find a N55 with 461M's in stock, but I suppose luck was on my side. Would've been perfect if it was EBII, but I guess can't have it all.

Took Delivery in June 2014 ... Recently started modding the car. Still to come - Painted iND front reflectors, light weight front lip, and deciding on the rear lip.

I have been installing clear bra for about 12 years and curious as to how many M235i owners have taken the time to have their BMW protected and how much coverage did you and others get, and how has the paint protection film been working out? Of course i'm going to clear bra my M235i before it leaves the dealership in Moncton. I'll be covering the full car, as I expect to cross the country many times during my ownership and I would die to watch the front end and rockers disintegrate with sandblasting and rock chips, plus will use it for show of course.
Still looking at tint options as don't want a cheaper film and would like one of the ceramic ones. I picture it being very similar to the older E46 M3 I had, and expect I should be able to install the tint myself since there would be nor heat shrinking the film. |

I had 3M PPF applied to my 228i back when I got in June 2014, first I had the front of the hood, fenders and mirror caps. Then about a month later I got a nice chip right on the leading edge of the roof where it meets the windshield. So I added film for the leading edge of the roof to the sunroof and along the A pillars. I should have also had the front bumper done, it isn't going to rust but stone chips are noticeable against the Melbourne Red.
I'll probably go for more PPF when I switch up to the M2 in a year or so. Probably go with a ceramic tint then too. |

Awesome to hear and sorry aboot the aforementioned chip! I expect to venture on a wee little 10,000 km trip my first month of ownership from New Brunswick down to Texas, do some advanced training and networking with my supplier then back up to Vancouver. Can't imagine what it would look like if I choose not clear bra it. What edges were wrapped on the job and assume it is the older generation of film?
I used to install Solarguard ultra performance but it seems many companies now have a quality ceramic film down to 75%. I wouldn't want a tint that wasn't a ceramic on my new M235i. This said, do you find it a pain in the winter as it blocks so much of the radiated heat from coming in? Quote:

I think they tricked you... that's a white bra not a clear bra, may need a refund haha As asked the other member what edges did they wrap and what brand clear bra did you choose?
Wanted to get the blue color too, but also the red and wished they had an orange, although I settled on the Black as it looks classy with the Terra Dakota leather, plus reminds me of my old E46 M3. Will post some pics of the full coverage clear bra job in April or May when I do my new M235i at the BMW dealership in Moncton. Quote:
