Rear diffuser
Local BMW dealer with 50% off on accessories so I ordered front lip, rear diffuser and rear deck spoiler. I have decided not to paint the front lip but unsure of the rear diffuser . I am asking for opinions on painting alpine white to match or leave black. I have seen it white with the diffuser gloss black and I am torn between that and leaving it black. I would appreciate any suggestions.

ROFL love how now one comments on his question, just how to get their grubby mitts on the same deal.
I like the look of both the white with the diffuser slats left unpainted, but I also kinda like it with the outer edge painted body color and the rest inner/lower parts unpainted. There are three segments to the diffuser that you can play with: thin outer edge, large inner portion, and the slats on the lower/center.

I am considering having the whole thing done in a gloss black - at least there is no colour matching to be done. I've seen diffusers per the one above, but the paint colour matching has been awful. I'd rather just avoid that and go glass black on my AW. It would match the spoiler and the MP Grill.
My hardest decision is deciding on carbon tips or chrome, TBH. |

I agree it looks best painted with the fins left black. However, in almost all the cars that do this on white, the paint color is mismatched which makes it look horrible. So if you do decide to do that, make sure your shop takes the extra time to make it blend.

I think I am going with the all black front and rear. See the alpine white Manhart in the next thread. I really like the way that is,

Thanks for the tip. Just bought the spoiler at half-price and will paint it bodycolor for a monochromatic look, which is also my recommendation for you. Of course, excellent color-matching is critical!

Yep. I called a few minutes too late, but they'll be open tomorrow morning. Maybe I can get in on this deal.
