Hi!

I have recently discover that there is some oil formation on the hood latch and its surrounding area in a good quantity almost making an small puddle.Any idea what it could be? at first I tought it was some kind of grease for the mechanism and maybe it spilled over, so I cleaned it, but yesterday I checked and I'm sure it's oil.

The area i'm describing it's in the picture (sorry, not a photo of my car, I'll upload it later)

It is the grease the car comes with when shipped from Germany. mine had the same issue. I just wipe it off every now and then as it recurs in warmer weather

This crap is leaking all over the car, under the hood, from doors to rocker panels, waiting for trunk to start leaking now.....

If you got some degreasser, spray some good degreasser or engine shampoo in and around there then wash it off with a garden hose.
Like stated above - it is shipping grease from germany, incase the vehicle sits in the port/dealership for a long time during cold months - the hood latches wont freeze.
