Hey folks!

Does anyone know if it's possible to engineer a solution to utilize the external antenna for enhanced signal strength (iPhone 6S) without the 6NS baseplate/adapter?

I can't imagine this wouldn't be possible - the baseplate offers nothing specific in terms of hardware connection, it would just spit out a lightning port that mixes the connection from the antenna and iDrive. Does anyone have experience with this, or another source to point me at?

I did try doing a search for this and came up mostly empty, save for fairly stale information from E90s and the like. I apologize if what I'm looking for has already been answered, just point me in the right direction please.
