IPhone 6 doesn't work on my 2015. It drops the call 5 seconds after making it.
I don't know if it's the OS or what, for the first time I'm actually wishing I stuck with my 5S |

Strangely Show Notifications isn't showing up for me, although it appeared to show up for a previously paired m235i from a test drive...

Thankfully it's an iOS issue. Even more thankfully Bluetooth was fixed in the 8.1 update yesterday. So update your phone and you'll be all good

It works with iPhone 5 and iOS 8. I did have an issue at first. There are several things to check.
If you're having trouble it's best to reset everything to eliminate variables. 1.) First "forget" the device in Bluetooth 2.) Remove the device from iDrive. 3.) Do a complete reboot of your iPhone. Hold down the power button and home button until it reboots. 4.) Reboot iDrive (not sure if it matters but it's best to eliminate variables). 5.) Re-pair your device to iDrive. 6.) In the Bluetooth connection settings on the iPhone (Settings -> Bluetooth -> BMW XXXXX (i) icon -> Show Notifications), Make sure "Show Notifications" is set to ON. It should work, but be aware that only NEW messages that come in will be shown. It does not download your entire message inbox. |

BMW is not supporting issues with their bluetooth, iphones and ios8. They say it is an Apple problem so in the meantime I have a 52k car with worthless hands free phone functionality
And I can't even got back to ios7...Apple put the screws to that |

Did you try to update your phone with 8.1 I couldn't use my bluetooth with 8.0 at all and once I updated it is now fixed. Apple knew it was a problem with the os software not only on BMW but on many other model cars as well and this update fixed the issue.

I have an iPhone 6 but I have an older iPad air and it also got the update. You should have gotten one too if not today in the near future. |

Can anyone with iOS8.1 confirm that:
A) Receiving email is working inside Connected Office. B) Track names change when using streaming services like Spotify. |

E-mail......I just want to be able to carry a conversation. Software version 8.1 and still conversation issues. Has to be a hardware problem. BMW keeps blaming Apple...either way it's still broken for me

The trick to make it work is to let the phone connect via BT, close the mail app, re-open the mail app. All mails and SMS that now arrive during the ride will trigger the envelop icon to appear and the message can be viewed through ConnectedDrive Office. |

Did we ever reach a conclusion about iPhone 6 compatibility?
I have an iPhone 6 running 8.1.1 and have been unable to get office to work at all. I can play music, make phone calls, but cannot get office to work. |

Gave up....not worth it to me to plug phone every time I get in the car. That is just me...might be better if I drove for business or have a very long commute

Well, I got it to work!
It's not very useful though... New messages (text/iMessage or mail) show up as unread messages. You can display them on the screen and (if you already have music playing) can have the car read them to you, but that's it. Even though the car has buttons for delete, reply, etc. they always stay greyed out. I guess it has some value for when I get an iMessage while the phone is in my pocket... One thing I did note - notifications have to be turned on. For example, I always have notifications turned on for text messages but not always for mail. When mail notifications were off, the car never saw mail as a message. When I turned on mail notifications, the car saw those emails as messages. I wish I could say what I did to get it working but I tweaked and re-tweaked settings all over the place in both the car & the iPhone. I'm not sure what finally convinced it to work. For the record this was with both an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 5S both running iOS 8.1.1. The type of phone didn't matter. |
