Anyone DIY Valentine One display into rear mirror?

I really don't want to spend $500 on radar-mirror.com and have seen other people do the mirror diy themselves on other forums. Has anyone done it on their 2 yet? I am more worried about opening it up than doing the install. I am an electronics repair tech so the install doesn't worry me but opening the mirror the wrong way does.

There is not really much to open .... just remove the plastic cover to expose the connector and then just tap the right wires...

there is a good DIY here http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...ight=valentine

I think he's looking to integrate the display into the actual mirror though I could be wrong, similar to the compass. I've seen that before it's pretty damn slick.
