How do you like that CX-5? Wife just added that one into the list of possible next garage additions last night.

I bought my 2006 M3 this spring. I bought the E46 328i new in the fall of '99. I've had two E30s, an E90 M3, a F23, and now the F22. The E46s remain my favorites! I smile every time I drive one of them!

CW - Toyota's are awesome cars maintenance free other than oil change.

It's great for what it is. Better handling than others in its class, but not a BMW SAV with M-Sport package. It keeps up with traffic on the highway even if it has to downshift on long grades like I5 heading over the "grapevine" or up to Oregon, or I15 to Las Vegas. The blind spot monitor is annoying when turning left from the right-most of two left turn lanes but I suspect all newer cars have that "feature" to protect us from ourselves.

You've been a very gracious OP with your kind responses. But, can't help but wonder after decades of personal experience, mostly through work in this industry, other than top-notch quality/reliability/durability, what is so impressive for you about Toyotas? When I've driven them from competitive road tests to rental cars, I usually couldn't wait to get out of them.

I would wager that those are the exact 3 reasons he states that they're impressive. It's why my wife drives a camry, because any other car would have either fallen apart by now with how she abuses her cars... Or it would have enough power that I'd have to go visit her in jail.
