New Forged 2 peice going on this this evening
So after a lot of research I chose to go with BC Forged wheels, and I am very happy I did. Was a little concerned with quality, and not knowing much about them until talking with Andrew at Open Road Tuning. They're made from forged 6061-T6, and quite lightweight for a modular 2 piece wheel. And over 2K less than the Forgeline wheel I was considering.
Fronts are 19x8.5 +42 and weigh 19.3 lbs. Wrapped with Cont. Extreme Sport DW 235/35 Rears are 19x9.5 +50 and weigh 22.8 lbs. Wrapped with Cont. Extreme Sport DW 255/30 Andrew and I decided these offsets should get me pretty flush, which was the goal. We'll see this afternoon. Last edited by Mr235; 09-07-2018 at 02:28 PM.. |

Front 18x8 et 40, MPS4S 235/40 Rear 18x8 et 50, MPS4S 265/35 Mine is a relatively conservative fitment and of course the idea of "flushness" is very subjective. Up front you be pretty close to on the money on with the fender. On stock suspension my guess is you won't have any rubbing. Tight on the inside to the suspension. In the rear you'll be on the poke side with the rim, but again that is subjective to what you like. I hope it all turns out to your liking! Post some pics.

Work called wasn't able to get pics up last night, I have a few that look good. I'm happy with the fitment and even the titanium hardware which I wasn't sure of.
Best thing was when I went to pick them up I was told they were some of the most well balanced wheels they had ever seen. Each wheel only has an ounce or less of weights added. The difference in performance over the run flats is incredible. Car isn't lowered , not sure if I ever will. Would love the look and performance, just not the ride or dodging manhole covers. |

Mr235 the wheels look good!
Do you drive the car hard; cornering, braking or r u more into having a great looking car ? I ask because I think about going 19” for cornering but wonder if it’s an improvement in gaining grip ? |

Car has vrsf chargepipe and intercooler with MHD stg 1 tune, whenever I get a chance I push it hard. Going from the run flats to the Conti Extreme Sport dw is such a drastic change, feels like a different car. Performance now is incredible and I haven't even really had a chance to push it. Only had the car for 6 months and have wanted to get ride of the run flats on 18's from day one. Go 19's you won't regret it with a quality tire. Last edited by Mr235; 09-09-2018 at 10:57 AM.. |

Thanks man! I paid just under 4K for the rims shipped, add tires mount/ balance... yes very close to 5K. They were fully custom built to my specs, delivered in 3 weeks. I ordered from a company in Tenn., Open Road Tuning.
I was originally looking at Rotiforms and Forgelines, either would have put me at 6K+ just for rims. (More than I was willing to throw at wheels) |
