Getting error p0036 heater control circuit bank 1 sensor 2. Before I get a new sensor, I want to check the fuse is ok.

Anybody point me in the direction of where it is?

that would be one of your O2 sensor not heating properly. not sure how you could check it unless you measured the voltage at the sensor. Have you recently done work around that area? maybe a new downpipe?

Yes I know it's the o2 sensor, but it's the one downstream, after the cat. I don't have anything to check the voltage at the moment, so before I went into it, I was wondering if there is a fuse, just in case.

Nothing done recently to the exhaust.

I would think there wouldn't be a fuse since O2 sensors are very low voltage about 0-1 volt. Dont quote me on this though. Check the fuse panel for a faulty O2 sensor relay that may be your problem. Not sure about the fuse though.

This happened in my E90. The fuses were under the main ECU in the engine bay. Maybe that carries over to this car. Also I would look for a short aka O2 sensor wire rubbed through the harness and is touching metal.

the m235i's fuse box is located in the trunk near the battery there should be two of them back there.
