VRSF Catted DP review

I installed VRSF Catted DP today - First impression - high quality steel and welds.
Installation took an hour an a half in total. Removing the stock DP was the hard part, had to remove passenger side tire to get to the DP. Getting to the top clamp off wasn't fun included a mallet and long screw driver lol
Installation of the VRSF Catted DP was a breeze it's about 25% smaller so an easy fit.
As far as sound difference slightly louder than stock btw the rest of my exhaust is stock. You can hear the turbo spool more. Performance wise it's hard to tell, it's only been a day. I have VSFR DP, intercooler, Charge pipe and stage 2 BM3. No CEL after about 50 miles driving pushed it pretty hard. If your looking for a Catted DP you can't beat the price and quality of VRSF!

Great to hear. I'm on board. Funny as a just read a thread on one of the forums about poor fitment? Your comment doesn't sound like poor fitment at all.

Jnat, I wouldn't hesitate to get any of their products. Happy modding

Thanks for the reply. It's not that I questioned vrsf, I used all their stuff on my n54 and thought the products were great. It's just that I read on the 4 series forum about someone saying that on an xi 4 series they had a tough time installing the catted downpipe. You're basically saying the opposite which makes me feel better about fitment on my 2 series xi.

just what I was looking for. can you comment on drone and vibrations and smell? I have the vrsf catless and there is noticable drone and vibrations under 2500 rpm. I found that flaps closed is more drone than flaps open, thus I keep flaps open at all times. does this catted version have a bracket?

you won't get a cel since bm3 stage 2 tune disabled it

Design - zero drone or vibration as far as smell nothing inside of the car. I would say if you disable Active Sound, it sounds stock inside the car with a Catted DP. Outside of the car is a little smell. No bracket on the DP but it's lighter and smaller than a stock Cat.

thanks for reply. can you post some logs of your stage 2 tune? just checking if the cat has any significant restrictions compared to the catless.

The VRSF Catted DP flows much more over stock, it's a 200 Cell Cat, a happy medium of flow and performance.
