dreaded p0597 code on my N20

I was driving home from work the other day...and noticed that my check engine light went on. So at home checked what code...and came back with p0597 Thermostat Heater Control Circuit Open.

It is my understanding that BMW extended the warranty for the BMW Thermostat Assembly!

Does anybody know if I would qualify for the 10 year / 120,000 miles extended warranty for this issue? Or a reason I wouldn't qualify??

2014 228i f22 N20 with about 28200 miles. I am second owner of the car.

UPDATE:
So, I wanted to provide a quick update. I made an appointment for 10/09/2018 at 11AM at dealer service.

Unfortunately, my 228i f22 N20 is still sitting there and has not been seen by a tech. So...at this point, I am waiting for diagnosis and repair.

UPDATE (final):
So, I wanted to provide a quick final update. Took 3 days (they were really busy), but the service center confirmed the issue as the Thermostat Assembly. It was replaced FREE under the 10yr /120,000 mile extended warranty.

Service Adviser was super nice. Plus, he confirmed that this part, if it continues to fail...and will continue to be replaced under the warranty!!

My 228i f22 N20 is back running like a TOP!
