Audio skipping
I recently purchased a 2014 M235i with 39k miles on it. I noticed recently that the audio (radio/BT/all sources) once in a while will skip for 1-2 seconds. Has anyone else had that problem? Thanks!

last week; Bluetooth, Apple Music, iPhoneX listening to downloads in my 235 and I think every song I attempted would play for a few seconds and skip back to the beginning. When I left the car I listened simply on my iPhone and the music played normally.
I don't think I've used Bluetooth to listen to music in my car since. And I've been having issues getting my phone contacts into my iDrive display. My dashcam does look for my phones bluetooth signal when entering the car to verify I'm not an alert and that is working fine though all of this. |

Yeah on any source, it'd play fine for 2-3 minutes then maybe stutter for 1 second. Almost like back in the day when cars would skip on CD players. On the radio, I'd see the station signal flash out for a second on the Head unit.. But it's weird also happens on BT and USB.

Still haven't found a solution, seems to be getting worse. Caught it on video the other day. You can see the FM 97.1 disappears/reappears. Weird thing is that the same thing happens on BT, or connected iPhone. Checked the amp and all wiring seemed fine, and tried to isolate using the fader, but happened with any speaker on mute. Any other electrical guru tips?

My suggestion is you should first get the car updated to the latest software via service before you dive into electrics. %99.9mpercent of the time these small things are corrected by software update.
