Mine too. One of the handful of reasons I turned down a TT was that the BMW's seats just had more of everything. As a place to look at, the Audi's interior trumps pretty much everything - but to sit and feel, 2nd place.

I would describe it more as a "bias" setting. It actually adjusts the fan speed range across the board. So if you set it lower, the low is lower and the high is lower, but as you go up the low gets higher and the high gets higher too. I always prefer a bit more air blowing all the time so I have mine set to the high side.

The BMW HVAC system is remarkably flexible and tailorable once you understand how it works. Amazes me how many people gripe about the dash vent temp adjustment, for example. Particularly that first-class Internet Idiot, Doug DeMuro.

I love the dash vent temp adjustment - it is the perfect way to fine tune the temperature. However, I have given up trying to explain this to my wife who changes the thermostat by 4 degrees either way whenever she is the slightest bit cold or warm.

I finally remembered to check my car, and there are two sensors on each side of the car, front and rear. Also, the parking display indicates, with red patches, when the car is too close to objects on its sides.

It may be, however, that the side sensors are not aimed to detect curbs, even though they can detect walls, people, or columns. It would be great if someone has the details on this.

The complaint about mine is the "cracking" of the seat lower frame when making settle moves which has been mentioned before on this forum

There are no sensors on the flanks, all are on the bumpers. This seems to be true of all BMWs. Are there cars that have sensors on the body? In any case, a curb is very low and I am not sure if sensors would pick it up.

The gas pedal is up close while the clutch pedal goes all the way down. At every shift I have my right leg contorted whilst my left leg fully extended. Which means I have to place my seat closer than I am comfortable with.

No one makes a clutch block to even the pedals out.
