bump this thread to the top! Anymore colour combinations?

I just ordered one in matte black ABS, and i'm struggling to decide on what I want to leave in black/paint in white.

I have an AW. At first I thought all black was gonna do it for me, then I saw this picture, the seamless white makes the front end looks beefier and more aggressive, but i also want some contrast with black thrown in the mix somewhere.

for the standard m performance lip - i'm guessing everyone had to drill beneath their bumpers to get it properly installed? So what happens when you decide to remove the lip, what do you guys plug those holes with?

Probably nothing. Bumper is plastic. Water would just drain.

I'm really not fond of the idea of drilling any body parts. I'm thinking of doing a front lip with only VHB tape, as I feel like it should hold (at least trunk spoilers have no issues). Anybody install and secure lips with just double-sided tape?

You don't need to drill any holes for the MP splitter. It uses pre-existing holes and bolts.

You just unscrew the 6 bolts, lay the splitter on top of (well, under) the holes then bolt them back.

Except for the two center front bolts you need to use the included screws with smaller washers because the stock ones have permanently attached washers that are too wide for the groove of the splitter.

Thanks for the info. However, mine's not a MP splitter or a replica of it. Mine doesn't "hook" onto the bumper anywhere, and it will only be attached at the bottom of the bumper via tape (and maybe screws).

I see some indents so hopefully those line up with pre-existing holes on the bumper. If so, then I'll use screws. If not, then I'm probably going to try only tape first to see if it'll hold.

One option is to drill holes in the splitter to align with the pre-existing fastners on the body. Not sure how the tape will hold up on its own. Had a splitter ripped of when I hit a piece of truck tire tread in the road and that was with fastners and tape!

Yeah, I think I'll try to drill holes and use it if it lines up with existing holes. Otherwise, I'm hoping that VHB tape should be enough. I mostly do city driving in this car so I usually don't have too many opportunities to hit any road debris or have air pushing down on the splitter. I guess I'll find out soon enough once the splitter arrives, though.

The key with any lip or splitter is to attach it securely but not TOO securely. You would much rather the lip come off when you hit something or scrape than it tear your much more expensive bumper.

Yeah, that's why I want to use tape vs screws. I'm thinking it will just tear off the bumper at the tape rather than rip out of the holes, if it ever hit road debris.

No brand and doesn't appear to be a copy/replica of others. I got it on eBay for ~$150 shipped from Latvia. It comes unprepped and undrilled (pics of how it'd arrive posted above from when I was contemplating it, lol).
