Jb4 maps questions

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
For the N20 (manual) on our cars how do you switch maps from the car with the jb4? I found plenty of information on the n54 cars (using volume and select buttons on the wheel) but nothing on my car. Getting the JB4 this week and want to be ready. Also to anyone that has it, it is programmed to map 1 out of the box correct?

Yes it will be on map 1 out of the box.
I strongly recommend getting the USB cable with the JB4

You are changing on the fly.
If you have the OBD cables you can also do this

I had the same question and since i think i was one of the first to do it. It's just like the auto but we just don't have the luxury of the light on the shifter, so we're pretty much doing it blind. When I want to change it, I fist put it back to stock by holding down the volume down button for about 10 sec and then every push of the volume up button bumps you up to the next map. I run mine on map 2...so down for 10, then 2 clicks up. I also did it with my laptop plugged in to verify the changing of maps
