It's not like that every day, but every day has this potential. Typically it's about 30 minutes. It's only on my commute home as well. Getting to work takes 5 minutes, it's going back that sucks.

Actually use to have one. Sold it but considering another, for the reason you noticed. Problem is there is often quite a lot of stuff I need to move between the office and home, which made bike days a different set of challenges. I guess it's just one of those things you get used to living down here. It's not all that bad if I stay out of the heavy traffic hours.

Had it for about 2k miles. Drive mostly in the city although its mostly like suburbs. I don't drive the car aggressively all the time. I do sometimes when I have to. Other than that, not too crazy and I am just over 18mpg. I use 91 octane.

510 mile trip this weekend, all highway. 29.6mpg driving mostly in ECO mode, with one or two full throttle blasts up to ~100+.
2014 with 16k miles on it. |

Very similar experience. 300 miles in my 2015 235x with 32K miles on the odo. Overall did just around 30 mpg at a pretty fast clip (average 63 mph over the whole trip). I tried ECO for a while, but it kept on yelling at me to slow down and I was keeping up with traffic, so I turned it back to comfort. No reason to use sports on the highway, IMHO. Pretty happy with the results.

drove a full tank to bingo just on comfort and it averaged 24.2 mpg/~490kms per refill (80% city/suburbia and 20% highway)...had to change my unit of measurements to make sense of most of these threads on 2addicts lol.
sounds about right ya? I'm the 2nd owner with 29k miles, so engine should well and properly worn in by now. |

I'm averaging 26.6 mixed. Very easy on my foot in comfort mode 99% of the time. So yeah, 24 sounds right if you are a bit more prone to some spirited acceleration. Doing frequent quick starts and rolling accelerations can easily knock a couple of MPG's off my 26 number.

Turbos benefit from non-city consistent speeds. If you're doing mostly short outings with frequent cold starts, that'd be normal mileage.
