Hey Mate,

Make sure you attach the eyelids REALLY well. I've had two pairs blow off at high speed even though there were taped on like crazy.

Use the 3M adhesive promoter wipes if you haven't those really improve grip too.

Speaking of 3M wipes...

Finally got Hasser RHD knee pad fitted properly. A little trimming a little heat gun to reshape it a touch and we're good. From there it was 3M adhesive promoter and tape.

Really should have come like this from the factory.

I used the 3M Super 77 Adhesive because the double side tape provided seems to be cheap. These eyelids were from a real CF mold not a plastic imitation and there is no bending possible if not placed correctly.

I did tested the 3M Adhesive in other surfaces to see how it hold .....

cleared out a spot in the garage for her

And added oem carbon fiber mirror caps. Super easy to install- did the first one in 10 minutes. Second one took a little longer because of the crying after I broke the passenger side mirror. New car feeling gone away in under 3 days of delivery. Good news is that the car looks great and the new mirror will be here in two days.

Car sounds good. Thinking the AWE setup has pulled my heart strings just right though.

I am thinking I will most likely do both in one go. Wish you didn't have to cut for a simple axleback swap...

Well the 80 mph test went well however when I got home the eyelids were loose. The 3M spray adhesive didn't bond to the headlights so I removed them.

Looking at getting the 3M wipes and/or Gorilla clear doubled-sided tape .

Did you use anything else with the 3M Adhesive promoter to improve the grip?

So it still holding until now, how long it has been?

Thanks for the advice!

I don't know sorry. I used the foam tape with promoter wipe to install the CF spoiler and it stuck really, really well.

Is that just an OEM pad? I had been thinking of finding one of my mates in the UK to ship one to me if it can be ordered from BMW...

Also, is that little netting beneath it standard equipment or added after?

It’s the OEM pad but it has clips on the back you need to shave off. Then you need to use a heat gun and bend it a bit as the contour isn’t exactly right as the tunnel is shaped differently on a RHD car.

The net is a BMW OEM part it’s not model specific. I got it from Sun think it was like $20.
