WTB M235 or M240 in Dallas, 6mt only
Going to buy either an E9x M3 or an M235/240 in the next week or two. I've sold my last M3 and have all my money ready to go! Prefer something at a dealer or something within a reasonable drive back to Texas. |

What a comparison- I always wanted to drive both cars back to back to see what one is the best drivers car. Of course the 235 has the modern tech but the m3 has the legendary V8

Pluses for the E92 M3 - more engaging to drive, much better steering feel, firmer suspension, better sounding engine (fun to wind it up to 8k RPM), better seats and interior quality. Pluses for the F22 - More torque, feels faster driving it under normal conditions, feels lighter, modern tech. Ultimately I wanted something newer and the F22 won, considering fuel economy is about 50% better, lower maintenance costs, insurance, etc. To the OP, did you consider the cars currently for sale on this board? There are quite a few manual M235i/M240i that are posted here.

I shopped the e92 M3 quite a bit before buying my m235i. I highly suggest you research the rod bearing issue with the e92 m3. That's the only thing that kept me from buying one.

Still looking, found one in Dallas at a dealer so that I can trade in my Fiesta ST daily commuter. If anyone on here is open to partial trade of my '16 Fiesta ST towards your M235 hit me up ASAP before I trade in and buy a '14 m235 6MT with 45k miles for $29k.

I'm in Houston with a 2017 Estoril Blue M240i, 6 MT, 13k miles, sunroof delete, black m grille, legal tint, black dakota leather interior, heated seats, drivers assist package w/backup camera & sensors + bluetooth. Perfect condition and methodical break in with an early oil change I paid for at 2k miles. I've always wanted a Shelby GT350 but the ADM's were too high for me when I needed a car but now I'm ready to move forward with it. No one has ever driven the car except for me (No Valet), never tracked and I was experienced with a standard transmission before buying the car. Mostly highway miles from being in the commercial real estate business and I was out of town with the car during Hurricane Harvey so of course, no encounters with high water. It's not listed for sale yet but I'd be willing to let it go for $42,000.

There is a certified gt350 at a large Ford dealer near me in Dallas FYI, a very rare gray color I've never seen, low miles, like $49k if I remember right. I'd be willing to go look at it for you if you'd like, just pm me. |

Actually, the Camaro SS 1LE is very similar in those aspects to the GT350 while having a much more usable power band, but the engine doesn't feel or sound as special as the GT350. Unfortunately it gets done in by odd design and compromised visibility. On the flip side, it's a good $15k cheaper than the GT350 and $25k cheaper than the M4.

Good review. I'm torn between a M235i 6MT and a 2016+ Camaro SS 6MT. Both prices are about the same on the used market. I drove a 2017 mustang gt 6MT last week and wasn't overly impressed. Just felt...cheap

The 2016 GT350 was a completely different ballgame, as well as the 2017 1LE Camaro. In addition to those I also drove a 2016 2SS Camaro which was also quite nice and sporty, just note quite like 1LE. I ultimately decided to go with the m240i since it felt like a step-up in quality, ergonomics, and refinement. It is also nimbler, just as quick as a the Mustang GT, and nearly as fast as the Camaro SS. I am not a BMW snob as you can see by my past cars.
