I'm looking to transfer the lease on my essentially brand new 2018 M240i M Performance Edition with manual transmission. Currently only has 700 miles on it. The car is in mint condition and is a great value at this price. I simply decided to get an M2 instead and I'm looking to get out of the lease. Note that this is a Limited Edition car with all the M Performance parts listed below installed at the factory in Germany not the port or the dealership. You can read about the M Performance Edition here and here (note that different equipment was shipped to different countries). According to R&T only 75 of these were shipped to the US.

Will pay a $2,700 incentive to get the transfer initiated ASAP!

Extras:

• Car also has $600 Ultimate Care+ covering wear and tear items like brake pads, clutch, wiper blades. This is transferable to the next owner.
• One lease payment was paid ahead of time (was due a credit that went to this lease). So if you get the car now you would have 34 months starting April 18. Any time before then is yours free!
• Will throw in my used set of winter wheels and tires. A set of 4 17" wheels with 225/45 17 Toyo Garit tires that were used for 2 seasons on my previous 2015 M235i. The M240i has not been driven in the snow! See attached photos below in the update posted on March 15.

I believe and I’m shocked. I looked at the M2 and went with the M240 and boy given what you have with the Performance edition you really must have loved the M2. Congrats on the M2!

You and OP reach a mutual deal. His current offer is a STEAL!
After virtual handshake, you provide full legal name and email address.
OP calls BMWFS to initiate lease transfer and provides your name and email address.
BMWFS sends credit application via email and requests pay of $500 + tax.
You submit electronic credit app + payment. If rejected then everything is returned except $100. If approved, then continue to stage 2.
Stage 2: BMW will send contract docs to you and OP via email. Both of you sign individually and send to BMWFS next day air (to speed up the process)
BMW will notify each of you once docs are received and approved. If an error occurs then BMWFS will contact you. Errors usually occur when assuming party forgets to send in picture of drivers license and/or insurance card.
Stage 3: BMW informs both parties that lease has been transferred. New owner will receive registration docs via fedex next day (I think you have to request). OP will receive letter via USPS informing lease has been transferred to new owner. OP can release the car immediately after email informing of stage 3 complete.

Unfortunately I think I'll only be able to keep this listing open for a couple more days after which I'll probably sell it to the dealer at a big loss.

Sold it to the dealer today and picked up my M2. Too bad no one else got it (would have been a win-win). In this case only the dealer won. Oh well... Off to forget about my loss and enjoy my M2!
