Think we will be forced to get Premium to get HIDs?

Like the 1, do you think BMW will force you to get the $3XXX premium package to get the lighting package like they do with the 1-series? Nothing like making you pay close to $5,000 to get HIDs. Singlehandedly the most infuriating thing about the 1 series.

I'm surprised to see that the lighting package is a standalone $900 option on the 3, which I think is fair.

Think HID pricing on the 2 will be like the 1 or the 3?

should be standard on M235i, like it is now with the 135i.

As for the 228i, the Xenon lights use to be a standalone option when the 1 series first released (either 700 or 900, I cant remember). I would hope they are a standalone option again (on the Mini, xenons cost 500 bucks...)

It might even be standard, actually. My 135i and all BMW's that had the 35i engine got HID's as a standard option. It's usually the lower end engines that you have to pay for that option, until now where LED headlights are an option over the HID's

We will learn everything very soon hopefully
