FCP Euro mostly, their lifetime warranty has paid me back $2K+ in the past couple years ($1K rotor job!) and fluid overhauls are essentially free.

FYI...there is a limited lifetime warranty on certain genuine BMW parts. AC compressors, water pump, alternators, starters, struts and shocks.
The only downside is you might have to tell some dumba$$ dealerships that don't know their business that this exists. I think if you're going to keep the car then genuine BMW is a better option - just avoids potential hassles of getting a bad rebuild or refurb.

It was claimed it’d promote more local shopping leveling the playing field local businesses were in combating e-commerce of not collecting taxes. Ultimately comes down to the state if they came on board with that, I closed my business just prior so I’m not sure if there’s a state out there that opted not to go along with this. If you want there’s an article about it, to paraphrase they called it a Big win for retailers and consumers. Not sure how it’s a win for consumers who are comp shopping for the lowest price. As you say it all adds up, including for the retailer eating the cost in tax. https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...c2e_story.html Last edited by Piper1; 11-18-2022 at 10:33 AM.. |

I buy at two of my local dealerships. I don't pay shipping costs and get discounts on top of that.

I rigorously scour the internet using part #, UPC, or other identifying # to find who has the best price after shipping/tax. It usually ends up being a Latvian/Lithuanian seller on ebay or ECStuning or bmwdirectparts (husker bmw), though with coupons or specials, it might be a lesser known vender like bimmerzone/autohausaz/rmeuropean.
I used FCPeuro for the more expensive parts, or basic maintenance, that I could evisage needing replacement for a 2nd or more time like flaoting rotors, fuel pump, water pump, headlight lenses, emblems and ofc fluids/filters.
