2 series information
I have read that the 2 series cabriolet is being dropped for the next generation. If this is true what will be the last year of the current 2 series cabriolet? Will it be 2020 or 2021 or later? I want to order the last year before it is discontinued.

IME at another major manufacturer, each model gets many small changes each year, often in the middle of the year. The turmoil is not great for quality. In the last year this abates and production stabilizes. Good time to buy.
What type of changes you might ask? They are driven by better ideas from the many designers, and by competing suppliers, and logistics. Rearrange the order of a row of spot welds to transfer the workload from robot 23 to robot 14 Slight reformulation of a chemical (oil, paint, adhesive...) due to cost or availability Change a thread color for better appearance The list seems endless. |

BTW, given the snout on the upcoming 4er ragtops, I may also opt for buying the final year 2er ragtop.

I'm with you regarding the 4 Series Concept, but I am hopeful the actual production version of the 4 Series vert will have a somewhat toned down version of the new grill. As things look now, I won't be ready for replacement for my 2er until 2022 or possibly 2023. While I am not thrilled with the grill on the 4 Series Concept, I do like the rest of it. I'm holding judgement on the upcoming 4 Series convertible til I actually see the production version in the flesh.....and keeping my fingers crossed BMW doesn't fall off the deep end of design.
