Seat Belt Issue
Hi all,
Please look at the pic - I have a twist on one side of the buckle on the seat belt. How do I get rid of it? Passing it through the buckle will not help, it will just move below. It almost seems like there is a reverse twist INSIDE the pillar portion of the belt. I tried feeding the twist into the pillar but its not going in. Any ideas? Thank you! |

According to the reddit instructions, you have to remove the piece where the belt feeds into the pillar. How do you do that??
I still have thr twist.. |

Once that was done I lowered the buckle, slowly let it fully retract, and that transferred the twist inside the pillar. Pull it all the way out 1-2 more times to make sure it's all good after. |

That pull-out-all-the-way-and-twist method works most of the time.
The one time that I had the problem, though, the whole belt jammed and the dealer had to replace the mechanism, thankfully under warranty. |

If the cross has made it down to the retract mechanism it may be tough to get it in crossed without getting down to the mechanism.
It happened to me. Had to pull the interior panels

This has happened to me several times as well. It is a pain in the neck to undo. Seems like a design flaw to me, as this is the only car I have ever had this happen in.
Although strangely enough, although it happened several times in the first year of ownership, it has not happened to me since. Now let me find a piece of wood to knock on; I probably just jinxed myself...

The issue was that one twist was above the buckle and the reverse twist was inside the pillar. But yes, thanks to all of you, I was able to fix it. THANK YOU!!
