So it looks as if
a) slight noise changes
b) power very little change noticeable .. if any (loss lower rpm and gain higher rpm?)
c) looks better with the hood open
...... normally a) changes with most intakes (aka the reason for most people to spend their $)

I think the chart in the first post is intended to explain the changes in power delivery.

With increases in HP & torque of 5-13 between 3K and redline, most owners won't notice the difference except in faster times and higher speeds at the strip and on the track.

Probably - my car has a Dinan Stage 1 v1 - when I say smoother it's like fluidity - the engine feels more rev happy and just smoother pulling through the rpm band.

Looking great in the engine bay is just as a bonus.

I assume this will fit the 2020 M240i? The 2020 M240i isn’t listed on Dinan’s website. The product info says 2017-2019.

Yes, it would fit the 2020 as well.

just curious if anyone else is noticing a change in the color of the cf cover? I've had it on my car a little over a year now and it seems the cover is starting to yellow a bit. I'm thinking the heat inside the engine bay may be causing it.

Shouldn't be. May get slightly "duller" for lack of a better word over time but it shouldn't yellow. Feel free to submit a support ticket with pictures to support@dinancars.com and they will take a look at it.

Overall, love the intake. Switched from the Agency Power (the AP sounded great btw) but I love the CF look and because of the air box mixed with the OE ducts, its got to bring better HP. The intake sound isn't there, but I am ok with it because you can feel the difference in high RPMS.

Install was pretty simple, but my biggest issue was fitting the upper box onto the OE lower. Took a couple minutes but I got it.
MY BIGGEST PROBLEM was when you pop on the clips.... OUCH. Totally peels off the clear coat of the CF. Surprised there isn't a tiny layer of padding or something.

Still looks good, and runs great!

Oiled. Depends on conditions but 15-20k mile life is about right. If you are in an extremely dusty/dirty environment it would be less.

Recommended cleaning method and oiling method? I'm gonna venture a guess, but my commuter M240Xi may be well past the 10-15K.

We recommend replacement for the simple reason that most folks over oil their filters and gunk up the MAF which ends up being a more expensive fix than a replacement filter. If you wish to clean and re-oil though just use the standard K&N (or equivalent) recharge kit. Just make sure after you clean the filter to let it FULLY dry and don't go crazy with the oil.

Cool. I actually have a K&N kit left over from my last car.

I'm going to get this for Christmas for my 2017 m240ix, plan to put dinan exhaust/midpipe on next year, and eventually AA DP/cat, charge pipe, and jb4.

hopefully all adds up to a nice street rolling combo that's fun to take through Southern Ohio hills.
open to feedback for those whom have it.

wondering if dinan is going to have a black Friday special this month.
