The little temp wheel is a great feature to adjust upper vent temperatures without adjusting the desired cabin temperature.
As with all good things they bite the dust one day. It is gone from the G model interior. Gone on my G29... still enjoying it on my F22!

Thanks all for the responses! I now understand that I should not only love this little thumbwheel and what it can do for my upper body temperature, but I should also pay homage to it every time I fire up my 240!

Perhaps it deserves a little appreciation, but I'd save the homage for that long skinny pedal on the right .

I think what makes the wheel so appealing is it's easy/quick access. So easy with a quick swipe of the finger. Analog vs digital. In my e70 x5 I have to adjust that "wheel" digitally, and it is way inconvenient. It is definitely an old school BMW feature that should be held over forever. Sometimes progress is not progress.
