Not that I've experienced. The rubber backing is a huge improvement over the mats from the 70s/80s. It keeps the debris from coming through & holds the mat's shape. I have them in my E39 (daily driver) & 2002tii (pleasure ride).

Awesome thanks. I have Lloyd mats in my wagon and they're beautiful but they don't make ones for xDrive 2 series convertible. Been exploring options.

Saturday: Clay bar'd the paint. My car had been on the dealer lot for over a year when I bought it and the surface was really rough. I've never done this before and was pretty nervous but think it turned out great. Finished up with a coat of wax.

Sunday: wrapped the mirror caps with a CF print. I had previously bought a $100 set from eBay but after a few months, the drivers side warped and wouldn't stay clipped in place. I put the original silver back on and have been driving for 3 weeks with a mis-matched set! I had a square sample piece of wrap in the garage and decided to give it a go today. This is another task I've never tried before. The driver's side came out pretty well so I decided to wrap the other side to match. Neither one is perfect, but they look good enough for me. I really can't justify the $500 for the BMW version, but I may still continue to look in the classified for someone selling a set of used caps.

Changed the crappy runflats 205/50/r17s to achilles ATR 225/45/r17s. Grips so much better than the stock tire.

Can attest to their quality. A lot of knock-offs out there, these are high quality. Actually have the M Performance mats up front with the cocomats in the trunk. Perfect fit.

Halogen to Xenon retrofit, big shout out to the team at Munich Motorsports in East Windsor CT to handle this grueling, undocumented task.

Car finally looks like a BMW and illuminates the road properly like it should.

Takes a while like 10-12 weeks but they can do literally anything you want. Much better quality than stock, solid aluminum not plastic and foil.

Ordered a Blendmount. FYI for Escort folks they now have a solution that supports the M1 camera and your detector on the same mount. That's why I had been holding off until now.

It cost exactly $1800.

$1000 for a complete part of headlights with bulbs, controllers and LED Drivers off a donor car & $800 in labor.

Definitely not a simple plug & play and code. There is no LIN Bus communication with the factory halogens, which means wiring needed to be added from the headlights to the controller in the kick panel in the interior of the car.
