Picked up the 228i last friday

Hello everyone,
Been lurking the forum for a few months now but haven't posted much. I took delivery of my new EB 228i last friday, so thought this would be a good time for a formal introduction.
So here she is...228i, M-sport, Alcantara interior trim, adaptive suspension, M-sport brakes, professional nav, HK sound,...

Absolutely in love with the car. What a fun machine to drive.
Got one small gripe with it though. BMW has attached the bracked with fire extinguisher in the trunk against the left side. Seems really weird to me. I'm losing trunk space due to this when for instance I wanna stock some suitcases in there.
When I was looking at second hand 235i models, I never noticed the fire extinguisher to be in that spot in the trunk.

So very curious, where yours is located?

Thanks all and nice community here.

Do you have a picture of the fire extinguisher? This is the first I've heard of one being installed as OEM.

Thought I had all the safety options with the warning triangles and first aid kit i received on Euro delivery.

Looks nice, same color I have. I didn't know some of these cars came with fire extinguishers.

since I live in the UK where we value freedom we aren't forced to carry a fire extinguisher

btw I love the alcantara interior. so cool.

Here it's required by law to have a working extinguisher in your car.
This is the first time I see one located so unfortunate.
I'm starting to wonder if this was added on at the dealership.

Probably added at the dealer. Most of them I have seen have been mounted on the inside of the cabin. I'm very jealous of your interior.

The extinguisher is for fire 'accidents' outside the car.
