Hankook R-S4 235/40/18. Anyone drive on this size tire w/ MSport

Hankook R-S4 235/40/18

Running on 18x8" et42

228i M-Sport with THP

Anyone running a square set-up in this size? I have run 245/35;18s without any issues but the 40 series is slightly taller. I checked Will They Fit and the inside clearance is fine.

I run Falken RT615K+ in 235/40/18 on 18x8 et40 square. I believe the tread width between the two tires should be very similar. I also have M-Sport with THP. No problems with this tire setup.

Ralawren, did you end up getting these tires?

Considering putting 235/40-18 snows on the stock 18x8" rims. This would increase the diameter from 24.8" to 25.4". Doesn't seem too bad and is much cheaper than any of the 35 profile options.

i do 18x8.5et45 on 235/40/18... no issues and my wheel is 1/4" further out due to the 1/2" wider rim. Plus im 1/2" lowered.

Youll be fine 100%.

Do you run 265/35 on the rear (see in your signature)?
Do the 235's rub in front on the et45?
I want to run 235/40 and 265/35 but have read et45 on front rubs, would need at least 3mm spacer and i'm not in love with spacers.
look forward to hearing, thanks.

Everyone says to use a 3mm spacer, I also did not want to. I didn't. Poof, it works. It runs very very very close but I'm using MPS4S which is a thicker brand. Attached is photo. I'd do 45et front and 50et rear every time. Thinner wheel, even better. I'm also doing the M4 lca+ts upgrade soon, so the wheel will move forward and out maybe 1/2" both. I'm not worried cause the clearance up front is great on the outside, on top of my 1/2" drop from Dinan. I say power to the people, et45 works. Haha
