Is setup good? (2016 M235i RWD)

2016 M235i Coupe RWD (Stage 1 Tuned)

I plan to go with apex wheels.
I don't have/want any spacers/suspension mods
This car is NOT tracked, however driven very spirited on public roads (straight highway and curvy country roads)

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 or ET38 with 225/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5" ET58 with 255/35-18 tires

Also anything bad going staggered? (Other than tire rotation) For example will my handling on curves still be good, and also car won't be any slower?

Thank you!

IMO you could go with 235/40/18 on the front. Rear I would go 265/35/18 but double check on that.

I'm in a predicament where I have a square set now. Just bought the car last weekend and they came with 225/40/18 with 7.5 wheels are around. This is certainly not my ideal set up. Plus the Pirelli P7 RFT are absolutely and actually scare the shit out of me when I get on it as they don't handle at all ! I mean horrible! I just ordered from Tirerack an hour ago 235/40/18 Pilot 4s. I will not sacrifice my tires no matter the cost. I do have a set of PSS 19's sitting in my garage which are 235/35/19 and 275/30/19's but I would have to buy new wheels. I will get spacers as I think based upon the skinny wheels the car definitely needs a wider stance for sure.

OP make sure you check out my suggestion with someone who has your size wheels first to possibly go with wider wheels. If there is no rubbing the look and handling would be enhanced. BUT DONT SKIMP on tires. PS4 ALL DAY LONG! 99% of us have them for good reason.

IIRC, 235's are too wide for the 7.5" wheel - may physically fit, but I think you are outside the safe parameters, certainly outside of what will give good handling (check the specs section of their online catalog). I'd take it as a great excuse to spring for a nice looking set of rims too. TR just might spring for the mount/balance at one of their local installers, if you give them shit about letting you buy an unsafe/nonstandard set of tires - they'd have thrown it in for free if you bought it all together.

Your rear will rub slightly. I wouldn't go any wider than 9 inch if you are running 255's ET45 is pretty flush with 9 inch rims and 255's

Wider wheels in the back are suppose to make the car understeer more if you drive the car hard. Square set up is absolute best for handling, but for looks 8.5 in the front and 9 inch in the rear is very nice. That's what I have as my daily set up and love how it looks and honestly drives very close to stock in most conditions.
